Here at ICP our compost piles are a little different than what you might have in your backyard. For one thing the piles are hundreds of times larger. Secondly, they are scientifically formulated, rigorously monitored and frequently turned so they get really hot, really fast, and then stay that way for months on end.
Because of all that heat we can accept things for composting that just wouldn’t work in most backyards. Common things like meat and dairy as well as uncommon things like burlap and liquid baby food waste. If you would like advice on doing some composting in your own back yard, stop by our offices in the Intervale or on Redmond Road in Williston. Or, for the best compost you have ever seen, come get a yard or two of our premium Black Gold!
